About DR Electrical

History

DR Electrical was started in Leicester, in 1971 by Leonardo De Rienzo, who was a trained electrical engineer. Automatic washing machines were just being introduced into the market and he was one of the first engineers in the local area to offer repairs to these new appliances.

As demand grew, the company expanded from a simple but effective man-and-van repair company to employing several engineers covering all of the midlands.

Today

In 2012, the business became a limited company, DR Appliances Ltd and trades under two brands DR Electrical and DR Appliance Repairs and a contracts division.

DR Electrical is our retail brand, the company has one of Leicestershire's largest showrooms for washing machines, cookers, dishwashers, fridge-freezers and Rangecookers. This is backed up with a large warehouse full of stock and click and reserve website showing live stock levels and a sales team with expert knowledge. As we are centrally located we deliver all over the midlands region.

DR Appliance repairs is our service brand and we have developed several websites for each service area we cover. Each area has a local dedicated service engineer. Many of our engineers have worked for the company for over 10 years and we truly believe we are one of best white goods repair and replacement companies in the midlands.

The Contracts division is a rapidly growing part the business. Our business to business clients include housing associations, universities, letting agents and building contractors. This is mainly due to the fact we offer repairs as well as the supply of new appliances at competitive prices. We are your one stop shop for all things appliances related.

Appliance Rental Service - NEW!

The company has launched its new rental service for washing machines, dishwashers, cookers and fridge freezers. As the company has a service department. we offer a fully comprehensive inhouse rental service. For more information please go to our rental page.

The company is still ran on a day to day basis by Leonardo De Rienzo (MD) alongside his brother–in-law, Enzo Iannelli (service manager) and his son, Roberto De Rienzo (sales and contracts manager).
